Course information
This is a magnificent course with a total length of 6,902 yards designed by foreign architect Robert Trent Jones for the 1975 Golf World Cup.
Since it was first built in Thailand in 1973, it has been called the Mecca of golf in Thailand, but now it feels like its name value has faded a bit. However, it is still considered one of the best golf courses in Thailand with well-maintained fairways and greens, large trees, and lots of water and bunkers.
The philosophies of the founder Sukum Nabappan and the designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. have become harmony, and it is loved by many professional golfers as an international-level championship course. In 1975, Navathani Golf Course was selected by the International Golf Association to host the prestigious 23rd World Cup of Golf, where the US team led by Johnny Miller and Lou Graham shared the top spot, but Johnny Miller's US team ended up winning. In 1999, it was selected to host the 72nd Birthday Celebration Golf Tournament of the King of Thailand, and in the same year, it was ranked as the No. 1 golf course in Thailand by the US Golf Digest magazine. A very close golf course within 30 minutes from downtown Bangkok, well-maintained tall shrubs create a sense of tranquility.
The greens of each hole are well protected by bunkers, and there are wide and narrow fairways, and 5 holes are adjacent to water hazards.
The famous 6th hole, par-4, 445 yards, requires high control and sharp shots to get on the green.
A water hazard on the left side of the fairway firmly protects the green, and the green, which rises in an inverted S shape over the lake, allows you to experience the true pleasure of golf.
