01. When will the tee off time be confirmed?
- During the off-season (April to October), reservations are usually confirmed immediately after payment through the reservation confirmation process, but during the peak season (November to March), after payment, you are only registered on the reservation waiting list, and when reservations open (varies by golf course, usually 2 weeks to 1 month in advance), the tee-off time is determined by batch confirmation. The expected confirmation date is indicated on the voucher, and please note that reservations are not confirmed until then. During the peak season, reservations are made to members first and travel agency reservations are made at the last remaining time, so it is not very likely that a good time will be confirmed.
02. Is it 1 caddy per person and 1 cart per person?
- Most golf courses in Thailand operate on a 1-person, 1-caddie basis. Carts are also different from those in Korea in that most courses use 1-person, 1-cart, but some courses provide 2-person, 1-cart. The carts are driven directly by the caddies. Sometimes, due to circumstances at the golf course, if a caddie or cart is not available, 2-person, 1-caddie, or 2-person, 1-cart may be provided. In this case, since the caddies took care of 2 customers, the cost for 2 people must be paid, so no refund is given. However, the cart is reflected as a 2-person, 1-cart cost, so you can receive a partial refund. (The refund amount varies depending on the golf course operation method.)
03. What is Golftel?
- Usually, you can use one night's accommodation, meals, and 18 or 36 hole rounds for 100,000 to 200,000 won per person. Since Koreans usually contract with golf courses and operate them, meals are mainly Korean food, and you use accommodations within the golf course or separate accommodations near the golf course. For more information, click on the Monkey Travel menu Golf - Golftel and refer to the conditions for each product, including the inclusions.
04. It has been confirmed that the tee-off time is unwanted.
- Even if you receive an invoice stating that it is possible at the requested time, the actual confirmed time may vary depending on the golf course's circumstances. If you absolutely cannot use the confirmed time, we recommend that you request a cancellation and make a reservation at another golf course. Please note that during peak season, many golf courses may confirm the T-off time 1-2 months before the date of use after payment.
05. Please recommend a golf course.
- Golf courses can vary in satisfaction depending on the preferred course type, the condition of the day, and skill level, so Please understand that it is difficult to directly recommend golf courses. They are sorted by popularity, so please look at them in order and choose by referring to basic information, course layout, reviews, etc.
06. How do I add or change golfers?
- You must request at least 2 days in advance of use. After confirmation, we will inform you of the additional cost payment, and once you pay, the number of people added will be completed. However, changing the number of people may not be possible or the tee-off time may change.
07. I paid the caddy fee, do I have to tip the caddy separately?
- Caddy fee and caddy tip are separate. In addition to the caddy fee paid when making a reservation, the caddy tip is a kind of mandatory tip, so you can pay it directly to the caddy after the round. Usually, it is 400-500 baht per person for 18 holes, and if you have to pay a certain amount of tip, it is indicated in the product information. Since the basic salary of caddies at Thai golf courses is very low and this tip takes up a large portion of their income, it would be good to think of the tip as part of the caddy fee ^^
08. I'm curious about the travel time from the hotel to the golf course.
- You can check the distance and approximate travel time from the city to the golf course on each golf course product page. Or, you can use the route function on Google Maps to check the real-time estimated travel time that reflects traffic information. If you want to arrive earlier than the tee time and start leisurely, we recommend leaving 20-30 minutes earlier than the estimated travel time. Since traffic congestion is severe in Thailand, even if you arrive a little early, it is a tip to arrive a little earlier than you expected.
09. How do I get to the golf course?
- The most comfortable round-trip transportation between the hotel and the golf course is by using the Devil's Divers tour vehicle, which can be reserved at the same time as your golf reservation. If you use the round-trip golf course vehicle product, you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the golf course. The driver will wait until the customer's round is over and then take you back to the hotel. If you have golf clubs and are a group of 3 or more, we recommend using a spacious SUV or van You can also take a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab or Bolt. However, since golf courses are usually located outside the city, it may take a long time to catch a taxi when returning.
10. It looks like it's going to rain. Should I do it? What happens if it rains?
- Even if it is raining or expected to rain, you should still arrive at the golf course on time. If it rains before the start of the round, you will have to wait until it stops before you start, and if it does not show any signs of stopping, it may be canceled. Some golf courses will refund the full amount if you cancel, but many golf courses will refund you with a coupon such as a rain check. The same applies if the round is interrupted due to rain during the round. Rain checks may not be of much use to short-term travelers, but you should take that into consideration and use it according to Thai golf course regulations.
11. How do I rent golf clubs?
- Golf clubs can be rented directly from the pro shop in the golf course. Usually, it costs 1,000 to 2,000 baht for 18 holes depending on the brand. Advance requests are also possible when reserving golf products.
12. Is it playable for 1 or 2 players?
- Reservations are possible, but solo play is not guaranteed and reservations are made on the condition of joining another team. Some golf courses only accept reservations for 2 or more people, or do not accept reservations for 1 or 2 people only on weekend mornings or during peak seasons. Depending on how Thai golf courses are operated, solo play for 2 people is not guaranteed even if you pay for 3-4 people. Since it is a condition of join play, even if you receive a confirmed tee time, you will have to wait for a join (standby join) and then start. If there are not many users on the day, 2-person play may be possible depending on the situation.
13. Is it mandatory to use an electric cart?
- If you are required to use an electric cart, you must use it, and you must pay for the cart cost when making a reservation. The electric cart section of the product information says 'Mandatory Use'. If it is not mandatory, you can make a reservation and payment without the cart, and if you want to use the cart, you can pay the cost on-site and use it. The cart cost is the same for advance payment and on-site payment.
